Mali at first task force session: Metro PRIORITY, first agreement in January
Minister of Finance, Sinisa Mali, has announced that in the second half of January next year, the cooperation between French and Chinese companies in the implementation of the project for the construction of the Belgrade metro will be made official.
He said at the first meeting of the task force that an Agreement of Understanding would be signed between the Government of Serbia, the City of Belgrade, Chinese and French companies that would participate in the project.
The necessary legal and technical activities were discussed at the meeting, so that everything would be ready for the works at Makisko polje to start at the end of 2021, the Ministry of Finance announced.
Mali said that the implementation of the Belgrade metro construction project was an absolute priority, adding that it was necessary for all the members of the task force, as well as the institutions involved, to be fully committed to this task.
He announced that after the signing of the Agreement on Understanding between the participants in the construction of the Belgrade metro, the Serbian delegation would visit the French company Alstom, where it would be presented with solutions for the design of wagons.
According to the existing agreements, the French will be in charge of electro-mechanics, and the Chinese will deal with construction works in the construction of the metro.
A few weeks ago, Sinisa Mali signed an Agreement on cooperation in the field of the implementation of priority projects in Serbia with French Minister of Foreign Trade, Franck Riester.
