
“ In November we saved 7% of electricity“
Minister of Mining and Energy of Serbia, Dubravka Djedovic, has said that in November, households saved seven percent of electricity compared to the same month of 2021 and that the import of gas from Azerbaijan was agreed.
She told RTS that 40% of households received a discount of 15% to 30%.
„Households saved seven percent of electricity in November compared to the same month last year, and the goal is to save 15%. A discount of 15 percent to 30 percent was achieved by 40 percent of households,“ Djedovic said.
She added that it was agreed to import one third of gas from Azerbaijan, and that there was also the possibility of importing electricity from that country if necessary and that the costs of transmission would be analyzed.
According to her, Azerbaijan has agreed with the EU to build an underground cable under the Black Sea, and Serbia can monitor these projects and join them when the time comes.
