
EPS will halve bills for those who were without electricity for 24 hours
Citizens who have been without electricity for more than 24 hours due to snow will receive reduced December bills from Elektroprivreda Srbije.
According to the press release of the Government of Serbia, EPS will charge these citizens half the number of kilowatts consumed.
„At a session, the Government of Serbia passed the Conclusion on granting consent to the reduction in the number of kilowatt hours spent in December 2021 by 50% for the end buyers of electricity on the territory of Serbia, in the areas where in December 2021, due to snowfall, there were unannounced interruptions in electricity supply for more than 24 hours cumulatively,“ the Government of Serbia announced.
According to the press release, taking into account the responsibility of all energy entities for the security of electricity supply, „it was proposed that they should participate together in covering the costs of reduction.“
