Competition for awarding grants for tourism development projects in 2019

The Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications has announced a public competition for awarding grants for financing tourism development projects in 2019, for which the amount of 60 million dinars has been allocated from the budget.

Non-profit institutions are entitled to using the grants for „the promotion of tourism products, tourist destinations and tourist areas of Serbia and for encouraging the improvement of the receptive tourist and hospitality offer,“ according to the Ministry’s website.

Funds can also be obtained for „upgrading and implementing statistical surveys and methodology of satellite accounts, as well as for education and training in tourism“.

As specified, the Ministry participates in financing up to 50% of the total value of the project. Deadlines for the implementation of the projects financed by the grants cannot be longer than 12 months.
