Vucic: Salaries 735 euros this year, we can feed everyone

President Aleksandar Vucic expects that salaries this year will be 735 euros, and that by the end of 2025 they will be more than 1,000 euros. As for pensioners, we will provide other benefits for our eldest, the president claims.

The president, commenting on the unemployment data, according to which Serbia has the lowest rate in the Western Balkans, said it was a great success. „You see, BiH has a 30.7% unemployment rate. And we were at 25.9% 10 years ago. And now we are at 8.9%, and that figure is even lower, since we are importing workers. The situation is the worst in Pristina,“ Vucic said.

He pointed out that in the first quarter growth was expected to be significantly higher than planned, it was supposed to be 1.1 percent, and it was expected to be 1.7 percent.

„That would mean that at the end of the year, our growth would be 3%, which would dramatically increase our growth and we would reach European countries faster. Today, we have EUR 21 billion in foreign reserve assets. We had 15 tons of gold, and today we have 38 and a half tons. And we are going to continue to increase those quantities. That is precisely why we were able to go onto the bond market and get good terms. If we did not have the problem of Kosovo and Metohija and sanctions against Russia, the essence of our position would be much better,“ the president said.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that the state had managed to nullify inflation by increasing salaries and pensions, which many European countries have failed to do. He said on Prva TV that he expected an increase in oil prices in two to three weeks, because, as he said, China was spending more and more, but that this would not increase inflation in Serbia.
