Vucic: Average SALARY EUR 500 before the end of the year

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has said in the village of Sivac, in Vojvodina, that the average salary will be 500 euros before the end of the year, and that the announced investment cycle does not exclude reforms. A little later, during a visit to Kula, Vucic said that he had just received information that in the first six months the surplus of the state budget amounted to EUR 180 million. „This is the fourth year in a row that we have had more on income side than on the expenditure side,“ Vucic said, stating that this would allow an increase in salaries and pensions. „We will not abandon reforms for a second, we will enter the investment cycle in the agreement with the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund,“ said Vucic, who is visiting the West Backa District within his campaign „The Future of Serbia“. Vucic said, „we want to engage in this investment endeavour as much as we make growth on an annual level, so that it would not be reflected at the level of public debt.“ „That is why we counted on being able to invest EUR 10 billion in four to five years, but in order to do that, growth must be between four and six percent,“ Vucic said. According to him, in order to achieve that, „we need an investment endeavour, that is why the sewage system in Borca, Kotez, Krnjaca, and here in Sivac, Kruscic and any other place in Serbia is important to us.“
