Vucic announced how many Pfizer vaccines Serbia buys in January

The Serbian President, Aleksandar Vucic announced that another 76,000 Pfizer vaccines against then coronavirus will arrive in Serbia in January.

At the New Year’s press conference Vucic said that from January 4th to 25th, new Pfizer vaccines will arrive every week, a total of 76,000.

According to him, when the vaccination in the gerontological centres is completed, the vaccination of those who work in the COVID system and who do not have antibodies will begin, so that the vaccination of a larger part of the healthcare system could be completed in January.

Vucic said that the first quantities of vaccines from Russia are expected before the end of the year, but he also pointed out that it still means nothing until we get the permission of the Medicines and Medical Devices Agency of Serbia.

He said that Serbia is negotiating with some other western countries on the procurement of vaccines, but also with Chinese manufacturers. He expressed expectation that the two largest Chinese manufacturers will soon register their two vaccines so that we can buy them.
