    Vojvodina „strengthens“ the budget by almost RSD 6 billion through rebalance

    The Provincial Government approved the Proposal of the provincial assembly decision on Vojvodina’s budget rebalance in 2022, in the amount of RSD 95.16 billion, which is an increase of RSD 5.96 billion (6.68 percent) compared to the previous one.

    As stated in the announcement of the Provincial Government, the budget rebalance was achieved for the most part through an increased income from profit tax, in the amount of RSD 5.37 billion.

    „The funds of the capital part of the budget are larger by RSD 4.85 billion and will be allocated for the completion of important ongoing investment projects and for new projects,“ the announcement states.

    RSD 1.13 billion is earmarked for water supply of agricultural areas within two irrigation systems, on more than 20,000 hectares, while RSD 143.4 million is intended for water supply in Becej, Backa Topola, Subotica, Indjija, Senta and Novi Sad.

    RSD 1.3 billion is earmarked for the reconstruction and procurement of equipment for healthcare institutions in Vojvodina, and around RSD 800 million for the maintenance of roads at the territory of Novi Sad.

    Funds in the amount of RSD 534 million are intended for the technical and technological equipment of „Radio-televizija Vojvodine“, which will enable the complete relocation of employees from the old facility to a newly built facility in Mišeluk in Sremska Kamenica.

    Funds in the amount of RSD 274 million are planned for the adaptation, reconstruction and extension of Subotica-based National Theatre.
