They are shaken by the crisis: Freelancers demand urgent meeting with Ministry of Finance

Internet workers (freelancers) have sent an invitation for an urgent meeting with the representatives of the Ministry of Finance and the Tax Administration, at which they will request that the tax and contributions on their income is not calculated from 2017, but from 2021.

This would mean the abolition of tax rulings that the Tax Administration started to deliver these days for 2017, and in the upcoming months it will probably continue to deliver them for the next four years, ending in 2022.

President of the Association of Internet Workers, Miran Pogacar, told the Beta agency that the transitional model of taxation adopted in 2021 until the adoption of the final solution for the status of freelancers, which is valid from January 1, 2023, was more favourable than the one that the Tax Administration wanted to apply before their protests at the end of 2020 and the beginning of 2021, but that the economic situation was now more difficult and that it would be impossible for freelancers to simultaneously pay the outstanding debt and current liabilities under the new model.
