During October this year, there were 49.3 percent fewer tourist arrivals in Serbia than in the same month last year, and the number of overnight stays was lower by 37.5 percent, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia announced.
In October 2020 there were 168,497 arrivals, of which a maximum of 30 percent in the region of Sumadija and Western Serbia, while the Belgrade region accounted for 23.5 percent of the total number of arrivals.
Most tourist arrivals in Serbia were from Israel – 6,805, followed by Bosnia and Herzegovina with 6,610 tourists, Turkey and Montenegro with slightly more than 2.5 thousand arrivals.
In the same period, 528,777 overnight stays were realized in Serbia, of which 42.1 percent were in Sumadija and Western Serbia.
Belgrade’s urban settlements recorded 48.2 thousand tourist arrivals, Vrnjacka Banja and Sokobanja more than 14 thousand, and Zlatibor had 13.4 thousand tourist arrivals in October.
