The first tower of the Belgrade Waterfront opened

The first tower of the Belgrade Waterfront project was officially opened on Saturday evening, when Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic cut the red ribbon at the reception organized on the occasion of first tenants occupying these buildings. „We did what we have promised, as we have created one of the most beautiful sites in Southeast Europe out of dirt and wasteland. Belgrade has finally gone down to the rivers. Soon an entire new city will rise along the river, our Belgrade Waterfront,” Vucic said on the occasion of completion of the first phase of this project. He announced that buildings will receive special lighting by the end of September. “It will be a real lighthouse, something that no one has seen before,” Vucic said.

He said that first building at Belgrade Waterfront is receiving new residents, new boulevard is being built and “the highest tower in this part of Europe” will rise soon. “We have won the first match, first championship at this river today,” Vucic said, adding that today Belgrade has a promenade as well, one of the most beautiful promenades in the world.

Vucic stated that Belgrade Waterfront belongs to entire Serbia and shows that a step forward that state has made. “We shall repeat what we did today in Belgrade in Nis, Kraljevo, Novi Sad, Kragujevac, Leskovac and all over Serbia,”Vucic said.
