Serbian goods almost NON-EXISTENT on Kosovo

The Director of Kosovo Customs, Bahri Berisha has stated that the value of imported goods from Serbia from the beginning of the year until the end of September was EUR 3.3 million, while in the same period last year that value was EUR 328 million. This means that the value of imports from Serbia has fallen by as much as 99 percent, due to introduction of imports tax. Pristina unilaterally imposed a 100 percent import tax on goods from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina on November 21st last year. When it comes to Bosnia and Herzegovina, goods worth EUR 1.9 million were imported into Kosovo in nine months of this year, in comparison to EUR 57 million of the same period last years, „Kosovo Online“ reports. „As for exports, Kosovo so far exported EUR 13.6 million worth of goods to Serbia, and in the same period of 2018 that figure was EUR 24 million,“ Berisa has said. According to an official data, prior to introduction of unilateral taxes around EUR 1.2 million a day or more than EUR 400 million a year was the value of products that entered the Kosovo market from Serbia.
