Novi Beograd to get ANOTHER TOWER? New business and residential building in block 32

The Secretariat for Urbanism and Construction Affairs of the City of Belgrade has announced an early public review regarding the development of a detailed regulatory plan for block 32 in Novi Beograd.

The expected effects, among other things, include a reconstruction and transformation of the business centre on the corner of Bulevar Zorana Djindjica and Bulevar umetnosti streets and an increase of the attractiveness of the area by building a tall building, equipping the area with public and special-purpose garages, and an increase in the number of jobs, the document reads.

It should be noted that the Initiative for the development of the Plan was instituted by the Alta Holding doo company based in Zemun.

At the corner of Bulevar Zorana Djindjica and Bulevar Umetnosti streets, the Alta Bank (formerly Jubmes Bank) building is located, which, as stated in the plan, has „good qualities“, but is poorly positioned in relation to the exceptionally wide intersection of the two boulevards.

The plan stipulates that the Alta Bank building will be replaced with a new commercial facility.

The zone of the high building will be determined in the draft plan, depending on the results of the Analysis and confirmation of the fulfilment of the criteria for the construction of the high building, the document states.

Next to Alta Bank, along the Bulevar umetnosti street, there are other facilities, such as the building of the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund of the Republic of Serbia, power substation 110/10kV built according to the license of the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Telekom Srbija ad and the Post Office of Serbia, as well as the Slovak Embassy building.
