NBS: No increase in fees for the next year
In the next year, banks will not raise fees and commissions, announced the Governor of the National Bank of Serbia (NBS), Jorgovanka Tabakovic.
All banks in Serbia have agreed with this decision.
„Furthermore, all banks that raised their fees and commissions from January 1st, 2021 until today have accepted that for one year, starting from September 1st, they will charge those commissions and fees with a reduction of 30 percent, but not below the amount that is was valid before the actual increase“, noted Tabakovic.
For a maintenance fee of RSD 150 per month, citizens will have a basic domestic current account, free cash withdrawals from their banks and ATMs, as well as a free debit card,“ said the governor of the NBS.
The package will also include mobile and e-banking and an unlimited number of QR code transactions at points of sale.
Banks that charge orders via mobile and e-banking will calculate a 30 percent discount in relation to the amount of those fees and commissions.
