More than 56 million passengers travelled through VINCI Airport network

VINCI Airports, the parent group of BELGRADE AIRPORT, which operates Nikola Tesla Airport Belgrade, presented traffic results for the third quarter (July-September) and the first nine months of 2022.

Traffic this summer in Europe continued to recover thanks to strong demand. Thus, traffic at Belgrade airport was very close to pre-crisis levels, especially thanks to flights outside Europe (e.g. Turkey, increase of 43%).

In the third quarter of 2022, more than 56 million passengers travelled through the VINCI airport network, i.e. 85 percent more than in the same period last year (and 22 percent less than in 2019).

At Nikola Tesla Airport Belgrade, in the third quarter of 2022, the number of passengers was 2,035,000, which is an increase of 34 percent compared to the same period of 2021, and 4.8 percent less than in the third quarter of 2019. In the first nine months of this year, the total number of passengers was 4,177,000, which is 71 percent more than in the same period of 2021, and 12 percent less than in the first nine months of 2019 and the period before the pandemic. The number of take-offs and landings in the third quarter of 2022 is 18 percent higher compared to last year, and 3.6 percent lower compared to the same period of 2019. In the first nine months of this year, the total number of take-offs and landings was 49,311, which is 37 percent more than in the first nine months of 2021, i.e. 8.8 percent less than in 2019 and the period before the pandemic.
