Minister sends the most important message: „We have no money problems“

Minister of Finance, Sinisa Mali, has said that there are currently 303.4 billion dinars in the state budget, that all obligations are being fulfilled and that we do not have a problem with liquidity.

„So we are completely liquid, we have over 2.5 billion euros in the budget, the state fulfills all its obligations, so on that side, we do not have a problem with money at the moment,“ Mali said.

Sinisa Mali, as a guest on RTS TV, said that, with the assistance that would possibly be allocated by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), whose delegation is in Belgrade, state finances would be stable next year.

“Based on all the plans we have, we have enough money. With the assistance we would get from the IMF, we would be completely stable next year. This is the most important message for the citizens,“ the minister stressed.

He noted that the current arrangement with the IMF expired in January 2023, and that he would discuss the continuation of the financial arrangement with the IMF delegation.

We are also interested in how we can get cheaper money through the IMF, because if you look at the ECB’s and FED’s policies, interest rates are rising, and money is getting more expensive.
