From October 1: Instead of cubic meters, gas will be calculated in kilowatt-hours
The public company Srbijagas has announced that from October 1, the delivered natural gas will be calculated in kilowatt hours (kWh) instead of in cubic meters (m3).
Srbijagas has announced on its website that it has received the consent of the Energy Agency to the decision on the price of natural gas for public supply, in accordance with the decision on amendments to the methodology for determining the price of natural gas for public supply adopted this year.
„Based on the aforementioned decision, the tariffs for ‘capacity’ are expressed in ‘dinars/ kWh/day/year’, and tariffs for ‘energy product‘ in ‘dinars/kWh'“, said Srbijagas.
“It will not have economic or financial effects”
As specified, „the changes to the methodology are due to the change in the way of measuring the delivered natural gas and the introduction of kWh instead of m3 as a calculation measure of the delivered energy in accordance with the regulation“.
Srbijagas pointed out that the change in the manner of expressing natural gas prices for public supply „will not have economic and financial effects on the level of tariffs and average prices“.
