First eggs go from Serbia to Albania within Open Balkans
Serbia exported the first quantities of fresh eggs to Albania, Tanjug was told at the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry.
It is added that this is the first time that Serbian producers of fresh eggs are exporting to Albania and that the new market is secured thanks to the Open Balkans initiative.
It was emphasized that this task was very important for further strengthening the export of Serbian food products at a time when global interruptions of supply chains caused by conflicts in Ukraine were more and more common.
Serbia has a surplus in trade with Albania, which will now be further increased, and the ministry recalls that last year Serbia exported food in a record-breaking amount of US$5 billion.
