Epidemiologist: There will be no MANDATORY VACCINATION of children
Epidemiologist and member of the Crisis Staff Branislav Tiodorovic believes that the mandatory vaccination of children will not be introduced, but that it will remain as a recommended measure.
I think it is very important for teachers and people who work with children at any level – to achieve the highest possible percentage of vaccinations. On the other hand, however, we view the situation locally. I know that there is opposition to the local observation, Tiodorovic told RTS TV.
He explained that it was not the same when a part of the population was very well protected in some cities, where the vaccination rate exceeded 50 percent, and even 70 percent of the adult population, while there were also towns where 12 to 15 percent of citizens had been vaccinated.
As for children up to the fourth grade, Tiodorovic said that, the same as last school year, they would be able to go to school.
According to him, regular classes are a necessity in both high schools and colleges, and where there is a large number of positive cases, the rules from the earlier period will have to be applied – classes will be reduced, and online classes will be introduced where necessary.
