Biggest Japanese investor in Serbia without use permit

The Urban Planning Department of the municipality of Indjija has rejected a request by the Japanese company Toyo Tires for a use permit for part of the production complex.

The permit for the production facility, business-administrative facility, guardhouse, bicycle canopy, pumping station with tanks and storage facility was rejected, reports IN Media.

The explanation states that the Japanese company submitted an application for a use permit for a part of the production complex on November 28, 2022, but that it was noted that it was necessary to submit a corrected study.

According to this portal, the Study of geodetic works lacks: round objects (in their base) cannot be mapped with only four points – more points must be given; the manual must state which method was used, sketches of special parts were not made in accordance with the Rulebook…

Toyo Tires is obliged to submit a corrected Study within ten days, and within thirty at the latest, in order to obtain a use permit.

As a reminder, president of the municipality of Indjija, Vladimir Gak, announced that on December 14, the official opening of the Japanese company Toyo Tires was expected, which would be attended by president of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic.

When, at the end of 2020, the cornerstone for the construction of the Japanese factory was laid, Vucic said that this was the biggest Japanese investment in Serbia.
