    Who is Andjelka Atanaskovic, new Minister of Economy?

    After the session of the Presidency of the Serbian Progressive Party, at which the composition of the new Government was discussed, Prime Minister Ana Brnabic announced who would be the new ministers in the Government of Serbia.

    There will be a total of 21 ministries in the new government. Seven economic departments, four of which will be led by the new ministers – Tatjana Matic, Tomislav Momirovic, Andjelka Atanaskovic and Darija Kisic Tepavcevic.

    Here are their biographies:

    Tatjana Matic – Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications

    She was born on July 2, 1972 in Belgrade, where she finished elementary school and high school. She graduated from the Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade, where she gained the title of the BA in the Serbian Language and Literature.

    From December 2001 to September 2002, she held the position of Marketing Manager of the William Grants – MPS Group in Belgrade. In the period from February to November 2001, she was assistant director of the company Panasonic in Serbia.

    In February 2014, she was elected vice president of the SDPS.

    In July 2012, she was appointed State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and Internal Trade and Telecommunications.

    Tomislav Momirovic – Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure

    Tomislav Momirovic was born on October 17, 1983 in Belgrade. He graduated from the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade. Since 2007, he has been employed in the Mona d.o.o. company as an advisor.

    Accelerated development of hotel business began in 2011, with the separation of the Mona Hotel Management d.o.o. company. Since the founding of the new company, he has been the Managing Director of Mona Hotel Management, which manages three hotels (Hotel Zlatibor Mona on Zlatibor, Hotel Javor in Kusici, Hotel Argo in Belgrade) and the residential building Vila Bella in Budva.

    Since 2016, he has been the chairman of the company Mona Hotel Management d.o.o. After only a year, the construction of a new hotel at Dorcol (Mona Plaza) began, which is the highest investment in the history of the company.

    Andjelka Atanaskovic – Minister of Economy

    She was born in 1958 in Trstenik, where she finished elementary school and technical high school. She graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Belgrade, Department in Kraljevo, in 1982.

    With Atanaskovic’s appointment to the position of Minister of Economy, the new Government of Serbia got a member who spent her entire working life in one company.

    Immediately after graduating, Andjelka Atanaskovic got a job in the factory „Prva petoletka – namenska“, where she was the director of control for a while.

    She was named the best manager of Southeast Europe in 2016, Woman of the Year in the region, and she received numerous awards from regional and national chambers of commerce.

    She has been a member of the Serbian Progressive Party since its founding in 2008.

    Darija Kisic Tepavcevic – Minister of Labor, Employment, Veterans’ and Social Affairs

    She was born in 1975 in Sarajevo. According to the official biography, she graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade in 2001. She got her master’s degree in epidemiology from the same faculty in 2006, and her doctorate thesis covered the topic: „Predictive value of the quality of life in assessing the outcome of the disease in patients with multiple sclerosis.“

    She is deputy director of the Public Health Institute of Serbia „Milan Jovanovic Batut“.
