Van carriers in a protest ride
Association of Passenger Van Carriers has organized yet another protest meeting and a rider towards Serbian government because amendments to the law, adopted without a dialogue, endanger their work as well as existence.
Around one hundred van carriers gathered in front of the Serbian government on Saturday, in order to express dissatisfaction due to amendments of the Law on Passenger Transport in Road Traffic.
As they say, the article according to which carriers do this job only if they have a vehicle that is under five years old, has electronic tachograph and if carrier has a driving permit for D1 category is controversial.
Besides additional costs, the biggest problem is to obtain driver’s licence for D1 category, as training lasts on average up to two years.
