The faith of the seal in Serbia will be sealed
The Serbian government has adopted proposal of amendments of the Companies Law that abolishes mandatory use of seal in business activities. Amendments stipulate that company cannot be imposed with mandatory use of seal in business correspondence and other documents, and all that remains is for Assembly to adopt it.
Provisions that oblige legal entities to use seal in 12 other laws will also became invalid once implementation of the law begins.
According to statement following session of the Serbian government, “this decision of the Serbian government removes yet another unnecessary administrative burden imposed on legal entities, thus this will have significant effect on improvement of business environment, Serbia’s progress at rankings of the World Bank related to doing-business, and most importantly on change of consciousness among businessmen, as well as world’s general impression of Serbia.”
