Resident who won court dispute with „utility workers“ detained by police
Bozidar Caricic, a resident of Ravno Selo, whose water debt was written off by court, has been detained by the police at the Vrbas police station. As N1 TV unofficially learns from police sources, he was detained for threatening the workers of the Public Utility Company „Komunalac“, who came to cut off his water supply. As explained, the police did not come to the scene to assist in the execution, but because they were invited by the workers. Caricic is currently at the Vrbas police station, and so are the workers of PUC „Komunalac“, who are giving statements. The prosecutor characterized the act as „preventing public servants from performing their duties.“ People who witnessed what was happening say that, at around 8.45 this morning, a team of PUC „Komunalac“ arrived, accompanied by the police. They also brought an excavator with them. They failed to cut off his water supply, which was supposedly the plan. They left at around 10 a.m. Bozidar Caricic is a 70-year-old pensioner. He lives alone in a house on the main street in Ravno Selo. As a reminder, Caricic won a legal battle against the Public Utility Company „Komunalac“ based in Vrbas and was thus released from the obligation to pay water bills, since water in the village is not potable, VOICE reported.
