Number of unemployed people in Nis half lower than in 2014
About 19,600 people are currently looking for jobs in Nis, which is almost half lower than in 2014 when 38,000 people were looking for jobs, the city branch of the National Employment Service (NSZ) told reporters.
As Boban Matić, director of this branch office, said at the presentation of 13 public calls for the unemployed and employers this year, that about 1,500 citizens got jobs in Nis last year through employment action plans.
„Active employment measures this year are planned to enable the employment of 21,205 people, of whom 2,285 are people with disabilities,“ Matic said.
He stated that the amount of RSD 6.3 billion was planned for public calls, i.e. competitions, and RSD 550 million was planned for the employment of persons with disabilities.
In Nis, the NSZ branch announced that most public calls would be opened by November 30, while the deadline for submitting applications for employment of persons with disabilities was December 31.
