New parking rules – a city in Serbia introduces „block parking“

Until now, parking in Pozarevac has been charged for enclosed and street parking lots, but it will soon be charged within residential areas as block parking is being introduced. The Town Assembly made such a decision because there are only 1,000 parking spaces in Pozarevac, while there are as many as 30,000 registered vehicles in the entire town area. The formation of block parking lots will not only make it easier for tenants to park, but it will also change the appearance of town quarters, as green areas will be landscaped and street furniture will be placed for children and adults. Since it is necessary to do traffic projects first, block parking lots are expected to be formed by the end of the year.
