Mihajlovic has good news: Serbia exempt from EU sanctions package against Russia

Serbia will be exempt from EU sanctions on the import of petroleum and gas from Russia, media report, citing statements by officials in Brussels.

This means that the supply of the domestic market with petroleum through the Adriatic Oil Pipeline will continue beyond May 15, confirms Minister of Mining and Energy, Zorana Mihajlovic.

„This puts us in a better position than many other countries in the region,“ the minister told reporters in Novi Pazar.

Mihajlovic  pointed out that the Government, by amending the regulation on the limitation of the price of petroleum products, protected the market and consumers in Serbia.

„The price limit of RSD 179 per litre for farmers will still be in force. A 20% reduction in excise duties on petroleum products remains, which also contributes to the stabilisation of the market,“ she said.
