LARGEST river tanker ever produced in ZRENJANIN launched (PHOTO)
The 135-meter-long river tanker, the largest ever produced at the Zrenjanin shipyard, was ceremoniously launched at the Bomex shipyard near Perlez.
The tanker, worth 2.2 million euros, was bought by an investor in Rotterdam, and it will be used by the Shell oil company.
As it was announced, the river tanker was built partly in the plants of the revitalized shipyard „Begej“ in Zrenjanin, assembled in „Bomex“ and it is a representative of „a new generation and a synonym for the modernization of navigation worldwide“, because for its dimensions, in terms of shipbuilding, it weighs only 855 tons.
