Epidemiologist Zoran Radovanovic has said that the coronavirus is occasionally making waves, but the current wave is the last big one and a more normal life is expected from March.
„It is possible that there will be more waves, if there are radical mutations, but I do not think so. There will be new strains, but there will be no dramatic changes, so after March we will start living more normally,“ as Radovanovic said for the new issue of the Nedeljnik weekly.
According to him, next season, there will be new vaccines, the second generation of vaccines that will be designed differently, as they will not be specifically related to one strain, because the current vaccines were made based on the original strain.
„Therefore, everything will be up to us. The problem here is that, unlike some diseases that leave permanent immunity, in this case, the immunity is relatively weak and it is measured in months after an illness… It is best if a person protects himself/herself with a vaccine and recovers from the disease,“ said Radovanovic.
