Grounding of Boeing will not have a significant effect on Serbian air traffic
The ban on overflying, taking off and landing of the Boeing 737-8 MAX and 737-9 MAX aircraft in Serbia will not have a significant effect on country’s air traffic, since this type of aircraft is not on any of the flights to or from Serbia, the Civil Aviation Directorate has confirmed.
This means that citizens traveling from Serbia or returning or via domestic airline or a foreign carrier do not have to worry whether their flights have been cancelled, rerouted or changed.
The Civil Aviation Directorate of the Republic of Serbia announced on Tuesday that an airline notification was adopted which prohibits the use of this type of aircraft in Serbian airspace, all in accordance with a ban that is adopted across the entire Europe.
