Companies from Serbia at the International Fair of Fruit and Vegetables in Berlin
Ten companies from Serbia will also present their offer at the International Fair of Fresh Fruit and Vegetables „Fruit Logistica 2019“, which will be held in Berlin from February 6th to 8th, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce has announced today.
The Serbian Chamber of Commerce and the Development Agency of Serbia, with support of the USAID Competitive Economy Project, are organizing presentation of domestic companies, in order to promote domestic economy, support exporters and connect them with partners abroad.
„Presentation oat the international fair allows exhibitors to present their products and export them to new markets, as well as to strengthen existing markets and gain new business contacts,“ the Serbian Chamber of Commerce has announced.
„Fruit Logistica“ is one of the largest international food industry fairs in the world, which this year is being held for the 26th time. In 2018, there were 3,239 companies and organizations from more than 80 countries exhibiting at the fair, and event was attended by 78,000 visitors from 130 countries.
According to the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, in period between January and September last year total foreign trade between Serbia and Germany was around EUR3.64 billion.
Export from Serbia to Germany was EUR1.47 billion, and import from that country was EUR2.17 billion. When compared to the same period of 2017, import increased by EUR370.8 million and export increased by EUR44.2 million, thus total exchange was higher by EUR415 million.
