Apartment prices are rising inexorably: In addition to Belgrade and Vojvodina, two more regions „exploded“

The index of apartment prices in Serbia in the third quarter of 2022 amounts to 138.08 and it shows the increase in apartment prices that has been going on throughout the year, said the Republic Geodetic Authority.

The region of Vojvodina and the city of Belgrade are the leaders in terms of price increases, but, like in the previous few quarters, the strongest price increases are recorded in the region of southern and eastern Serbia.

The number of apartments sold in the third quarter of 2022 decreased by 5.6 percent compared to the same period of 2021, which indicates the „calming“ of the market.

Given that prices continue to rise strongly, the total value of the market as measured by the sum of realized apartment purchases continues to increase, by 12 percent compared to the third quarter of 2021.

This image represents a significant slowdown in market growth, as the total value of apartment purchases in the previous quarter was higher by as much as 26.1 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.

This trend is contributed to by the year-on-year decline in the number of apartment purchases financed by bank loans.

In the previous period, in international comparisons, the price index of apartments in Serbia had a growing trend, just as it did in a large number of countries.
