A tram produced in Kragujevac will soon be used in Germany
The first tram produced in Kragujevac based Siemens Mobility plant has passed inspection controls and will soon cruise the streets of Germany, the Kragujevac City Administration has announced.
„In the past two years, we have gone through a process of transformation from component manufacturer to the production of complete trams,“ Eberhard Lange, company’s technical director has said, expressing expectation that the first tram produced in this plant would „go to its new home in Germany very soon.“
The company’s main business activity is production of rail vehicles and components, as well as engineering, and it employs 857 workers.
