Serbia lifts ban on export of grain, flour and oil to North Macedonia
North Macedonia’s Agricultural Minister Ljupco Nikolovski has said in Belgrade that Serbia will lift the ban on the export of wheat, corn, flour and edible oil to North Macedonia in the next seven to ten days.
Nikolovski said that he had arranged this at a working meeting with Serbian Minister of Agriculture Branislav Nedimovic, who is also a deputy prime minister, and he pointed out that all the agreements of Macedonian business partners from all the chambers of commerce would be realized.
„Within the instruments of the Open Balkans initiative, I have agreed with Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Nedimovic for Serbia to lift the ban on the export of wheat, corn, flour, edible oil to North Macedonia in the next seven to ten days, and to start delivering the quantities agreed by economic partners from the two countries,“ Nikolovski said.
According to him, the prime minister of North Macedonia will send a letter to the prime minister of Serbia about the agreed quantities.
He told Macedonian citizens to be calm, adding that North Macedonia would have sufficient quantities of these strategic crops.
