RSD 55,380 – that much is our AVERAGE in May
The average net salary in Serbia in May was RSD 55,380, while gross salary (with taxes and contributions) was RSD 76,511, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia has announced. Compared to the same month of the year before, the average net salary is nominally higher by 9.9 percent, and by 7.5 percent in real terms, while the average gross salary is nominally higher by 9.8 percent, or by 7.2 percent in real terms. The increase in net salary in the period January-May 2019, when compared to the same period last year, was 9.9 percent in nominal terms, i.e. 7.2 percent in real terms, and gross earnings growth was 9.7 percent and 7 percent in real terms. Medial net salary for May was RSD 42,319, which means that 50 percent of employees earned salary up to that amount.
