PROTESTS of hospitality workers begin and they WILL LAST until requests are fulfilled
Several dozen hospitality workers and owners of restaurants and cafes gathered in front of the Serbian Parliament to protest against the latest measures of the Crisis Staff, which prevent them from working.
One of the main messages heard is: „We are discriminated against.“
They request from the Government of Serbia to lift the ban on the work of hospitality workers, as well as the writing off of their tax debts because they could not earn money to pay all their obligations. Hospitality workers announced that they would gather every day until their demands were met.
At the beginning of the protest, the traffic on the street in front of the Parliament was unhindered, but later, when more people gathered through social networks, it was blocked.
The Crisis Staff confirmed that the epidemiological measures that were valid over the previous weekend would be valid from Wednesday to Sunday, which include shutting down hospitality facilities and shopping malls and enabling the operation of food stores, pharmacies and gas stations.
