Kyle Scott’s advice for those who want to invest in Serbia: Find a good lawyer
Serbia presents itself as investment destination with ever-increasing popularity and as the regional leader in attracting investments. We asked Ambassador of the United States Kyle Scott how he sees Serbia when it comes to business opportunities and what advice would he give to those who intend to invest their money in Serbia?
“To those who wish to start a business in Serbia I would say that there are business opportunities here. Advantages are qualified labour force and relatively low labour cost. There are also difficulties, especially when it comes to administration and contracts. The main message is, thoroughly study Serbian market and find a good lawyer”, Scott has stated with BIZLife.
Investors are coming to Serbia, but quality domestic cadre is leaving it, Ambassador has noticed.
„There are many smart people, with creative ideas, people who are ready to make a difference. Unfortunately, many decide to leave Serbia. One needs to create such business environment that people want to stay here, work in Serbia and export to regional and world markets from native country,” Scott has said.
