Jorgovanka Tabakovic nominated for the position of Governor once again
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has proposed Serbian Assembly that the current Governor of the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) Jorgovanka Tabakovic conducts this function for another six-year term.
Jorgovanka Tabakovic has been the head of the National Bank of Serbia since August 2012. At the time she was vice president of the Serbian Progressive Party but upon assuming her duties, she resigned from her positions in the party according to Law on the National Bank of Serbia.
Serbian Assembly will hold a special session tomorrow on which it will debate on the election of governor as well as vice-governor of the National Bank of Serbia.
Zeljko Jovic has been proposed for vice-governor, as so far he has been the acting vice-governor.
