December average of almost RSD 60,000, medially not even RSD 45,000

The average net salary in Serbia in December last year was RSD 59,722, and gross salary was 82,257, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia announced. Compared to the same month of the year before, the average net salary increased by 14.1 percent in nominal terms, i.e. by 12 percent in real terms, while the average gross salary increased by 14 percent in nominal and by 11.9 in real terms. The growth of net salary in the period January-December 2019, compared to the same period of the previous year, was 10.6 percent in nominal and 8.5 percent in real terms, while the growth of gross salary amounted to 10.5 percent in nominal, i.e. 8.4 percent in real terms. The median net salary for December 2019 was RSD 44,530, which means that 50 percent of employees earned up to that amount.
