Construction of LINE PARK starts, removal of buildings announced (PHOTO)

The construction of the Line Park is starting at the most attractive location in the old part of Belgrade, said Deputy Mayor of Belgrade, Goran Vesic.

„It will take us three years to complete the Line Park, because there are some illegal and legal facilities that we will have to remove, as well as the old railway tracks. When we finish the Line Park, we will have a unique park in the world along the river banks, 4.6 kilometres long,“ said Vesic, adding that he is proud of this project because it is the most important project of landscaping public spaces, reports Beoinfo.

As he stated, the landscaping of the first two units will be done by the public utility company „Zelenilo – Beograd“.

„It is the area from the Concrete Hall, across Nebojsa Tower to the „25. maj – Milan Gale Muskatorivic” Sports Centre and that section will start to be built at the beginning of next week. For the other eight units of the Line Park, the Investment Secretariat will announce a public procurement for the design and execution of works. I expect that in the summer months we will start the works in the other eight units,“ he said.
