A team of Chinese experts is leaving Serbia tonight, but they warn that it is important to understand that the danger is still looming and that the virus is still present, even though everyone has relaxed due to the easing of measures. A team of medical experts from China arrived in Serbia on 21 March with the first plane from China, which delivered the necessary equipment and protective material for the fight against Covid-19 to Serbia. The plan was for them to stay for two weeks, but they stayed two and a half months, RTS reports. Lin Binliang, deputy head of the Department of Infectious Diseases, has told RTS that the most important thing is to understand that the danger is still looming and that the epidemic is serious. „Due to the easing of the measures, literally everyone relaxed, everyone’s attention got weaker, including the attention of the expert teams in charge of the fight against the virus. To control the epidemic, we must keep a clear head, and remain vigilant. Our advice is that perhaps measures should be tightened at locations where there is an increase, certain measures should be reintroduced,“ says Lin Binliang. Peng Zhiqiang, deputy director of the Institute for the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases, says that he, therefore, once again, urges and appeals for the strictest prevention measures to be applied indoors, and in institutions with a sensitive population, where there are many people in one place. „Student dormitories, retirement homes, hospitals, companies, everything must be under control. It is still especially important to prevent the spread of the virus in such facilities. „Every person should be checked, and when indoors, if there is no distance among people, masks should also be mandatory,“ Peng pointed out.
