BIZLife list „30 under 30“: Marijan Velickovic, economy
Marijan was born in Kumanovo on February 19th 1990. He graduated from Vranje based School of Economics as a Valedictorian. At the age of 19 he already proved that he had a talent and „a gift“ for accounting, when he won second place at the State Competition of High School Students in Accounting. With such background knowledge and major enthusiasm he enrolled at Nis based Faculty of Economics in 2009. He graduated from the faculty without a single eight in his transcript of records or a retaken exam, with a grade point average of 9.65. He earned his master’s degree at the same faculty in 2015 with a grade point average of 10.
Immediately after completing his studies he began his professional career at “BDO Srbija”, one of the largest auditing-consulting firms in the world. From the beginning he had the opportunity to apply his vast knowledge and gain experience in working with clients from various fields of economy, with special emphasis on audit reports for enterprises of the construction and service industry, as well as football clubs. His current position is senior auditor.
