After SIX years, Zeljko Mitrovic’s son received THIS sentence

Aleksandar Mitrovic, son of the owner of Pink TV Zeljko Mitrovic, has been sentenced to 12 months of house arrest while wearing an electronic monitoring unit and a ban on driving a motor vehicle for a year due to the traffic accident that took place in July 2013, when he hit 17-year-old Andrea Bojanic, at the pedestrian crossing in Ustanicka Street, the First Basic Court in Belgrade told N1 TV. Mitrovic was sentenced to a single sentence for both crimes: a serious offense against the safety of public transport and failure to assist a person injured in a traffic accident, and the time he spent in detention from 19 July to 4 October 2013 will also be included in the sentence. On 18 July 2013, driving a BMW along Ustanicka Street, from the direction of Bulevar Kralja Aleksandra towards Vojislava Ilica Street, Mitrovic hit and killed 17-year-old Andrea Bojanic at the pedestrian crossing. According to the prosecutor’s office, Mitrovic was driving at a speed exceeding 81 kilometres per hour, and from the impact, Andrea was pushed 29 meters away. Mitrovic fled the scene of the accident, and his father, Zeljko Mitrovic, the owner of TV Pink, took him to the police. Zeljko Mitrovic himself issued a statement during the day. „After three expert reports, which I did not ask for and neither did my son Aleksandar, but the Prosecutor’s Office, all three confirmed that my son Aleksandar was not guilty, but today the court sentenced my son only because he is my son. Oh, the honorable court!,“ Mitrovic wrote on his Twitter account.
