Zoran Radojicic is the new Mayor of Belgrade

Aldermen of Assembly of the City of Belgrade have elected Zoran Radojicic Mayor of Belgrade, while current city manager Goran Vesic has been elected his deputy. A total of 63 aldermen have voted for Radojicic and new management.

Belgrade board of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), that won the majority of votes during March elections, has decided to propose a surgeon as well as Director of University Children’s Hospital at Tirsova Street Zoran Radojicic for the mayor of Belgrade, him being the bearer of SNS list, while Goran Vesic has been proposed for the position of deputy mayor.

Newly elected Mayor of Belgrade Zoran Radojicic has stated that he will be mayor of all citizens – those who voted and those who did not vote for him.

During his first address, following election for the Mayor of Belgrade, Radojicic has said that he will give everything that he has to make Belgrade a city in which all citizens will feel improvement of living conditions.

“A difficult task is upon us, to reach goals promised in the campaign,” Radojicic has said, adding that he is excited for being elected Mayor of Belgrade.

He has also said that he is aware of responsibility that he has, and he will do his best to justify people’s trust.

He has pointed out that he is a man of compromise and thinks there is space for everyone to find joint interests together.

“This is an extreme honour. A person can experience things that he or she does not plan… I am extremely satisfied and happy,” newly elected mayor has said.
