
The foundations for CHEAP apartments, intended for the „law enforcement officers“ as well, have been laid in the capital
Work has begun on the construction of cheap apartments for members of the law enforcement institutions in Belgrade. A total of 1,000 apartments will be built in Belgrade, and work has begun on the first 250 apartments near the „Lakat“ curve in Zemun, which value is RSD 1.1 billion. The deadline for completion of apartments is February 2022. The project was developed by the Traffic Institute CIP and it is managed by the Serbian Building Directorate. „We fought for you to have better working conditions and better salaries and, thanks to successfully implemented measures of financial consolidation, we increased your salary by between 38 and 40 percent,“ said Prime Minister Ana Brnabic who attended the laying of the foundation stone. Anyway, the construction of apartments in six cities within the phase 1A, amounting to a total of 1,530 apartments, has already begun within the Housing Project for the members of the law enforcement institutions. Precisely, 190 apartments in Nis, 186 apartments in Vranje, 200 in Kraljevo, 216 in Kragujevac, 548 in Novi Sad and 190 apartments in Sremska Mitrovica. In addition, construction of another 438 apartments in Novi Sad has commenced under phase 1B. The first apartments for members of the law enforcement institutions are ready in Vranje and families who will move in will be handed the keys on Saturday. Within the phase 1B, a total of 6,500 apartments in Belgrade, Vranje, Kraljevo, Kragujevac and Nis are being prepared for construction. Within the entire project (phase 1A and 1B), a total of around 8,000 apartments are planned to be built. The cost of apartments can go up to EUR 500 per square meter.
