STOP to the departure of nurses to GERMANY: Serbia stops call for applications

Minister of Labor, Employment, Veterans’ and Social Affairs Zoran Djordjevic has announced that next year the termination of the contract with Germany for the departure of the workforce from Serbia will be considered. Zoran Djordjevic said at a press conference after the session of the Social and Economic Council that this year’s call for applications for the departure of nurses to go to work in Germany had been „stopped“ because it was agreed with partners not to implement it this year. Asked about the announcement of a new call for applications by the National Employment Service and GIZ for departure to Germany, Djordjevic said that the call for applications had been halted and that there would be no more of them. He specified that it was agreed not to conduct the call for applications this year, and that next year the termination of the contract with Germany would be considered.
