Prime Minister’s goal: Internet covering entire Serbia

Serbia currently has internet coverage of about 60 percent, and the goal is to enable 100 percent of citizens and businesses to have access to the internet in the next three years, said Prime Minister Ana Brnabic. She announced that a competition would be launched in March to bring the internet, as one of the basic human rights, to 600 settlements in Serbia and enable its use in 90,000 households. Brnabic said at the opening of the conference Digital Cooperation: Transforming Governments that a new eGovernment portal was launched today. She stated that in the last three years, Serbia turned from a country that did not even have basic registers in the electronic form into a country where the largest amount of information is exchanged electronically among authorities.
