Parliamentary ELECTIONS in Serbia announced for 26 April
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced regular parliamentary elections today for 26 April. After the announcement, Vucic said that the elections were an important act for every country, because people were deciding on what kind of life they wanted to live, and he urged citizens to vote in the elections. „Elections also carry a lot of responsibility for the parties and groups of citizens that participate, but they are also crucial for every citizen. That is why they need to show seriousness and responsibility and I am convinced that they will choose the right path for themselves and their families and for our beautiful Serbia,“ he said. Vucic wished for the elections to be a real democratic political game. „I want a good, real democratic political game and I want us to congratulate each other on 26 April. And to jointly go towards a better future,” he said. Previously, Parliament Speaker Maja Gojkovic called local elections in Serbia, while Belgrade City Assembly Speaker Nikola Nikodijevic called elections in all 17 Belgrade municipalities.
