A CANADIAN company opening a new facility in Serbia – a job for 1,850 workers
The Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs, Zoran Djordjevic visited Odzaci based company „Magna seating“, which is manufacturing car seat covers, and announced the opening of yet another facility in Aleksinac where it will employ 1,850 workers. Djordjevic said that „Serbia is a reliable partner and it will continue to be one in the future as well, and by employing a large number of workers it will reduce unemployment and allow the economy to grow day by day, which is a priority goal of the Serbian government,“ his office announced. „President Aleksandar Vucic has given us all a task that we are all actively committed to, i.e. that Serbia has a strong and stable economy and thus becomes a leader in this part of Europe by 2025,“ Djordjevic said. The Minister expressed gratitude to the leadership of the Canadian company „Magna seating“ for recognizing Serbia as a suitable country for investments. That company operates in 18 European countries, and has been in Serbia since 2013.
