
82 new CORONAVIRUS cases in Serbia, two more deceased
There are 82 new coronavirus infection cases registered in Serbia, and the total number of COVID-19 patients is 741. Two more persons have died. From the last report until 3 pm, the samples of 376 people were tested, 82 of which were positive and 394 were negative for the new coronavirus, the covid.rs website reports. Two patients have died from the coronavirus infection in Dragisa Misovic Hospital, as Darija Kisic Tepavcevic, deputy director of the Batut Institute, said at a regular news conference. This increased the total number of deaths from the COVID-19 pandemic to 13. A 62-year-old patient from Kikinda died in the Clinical Center of Vojvodina on Saturday night. Regarding the cases in Dragisa Misovic Hospital, Kisic noted that these were elderly patients, born in 1938 and 1934, with associated chronic diseases. There are 55 people on respirators, said Darija Kisic Tepavcevic. A total of 2462 individuals, who met the criteria for the case definition, have been tested in the national reference laboratory of the Torlak Institute so far. Dr Kisic confirmed that patient zero had been cured, and that more than 50 patients had tested negative for COVID-19 so far, who could be „considered recovered“. During the day, the first 10 patients suffering from COVID-19 with milder symptoms were admitted to Belgrade Fair.
